Hey reddit, where does one find full-time, salaried design jobs?

Ok so I'm a Motion Graphics designer. I'm currently working in a production studio, so I'm happy I at least have a job. But I've been there for 2 years and the work/clients have gotten stale, and seem to be getting worse by exponential proportions. My main sources for job hunting have been the following: krop.com, coroflot, and Motionographer's jobs section.

I've applied to some jobs, but I keep not hearing back from anyone. I've got a pretty good reel I think, I do more than just the Design/Animation [I also produce the video segments], and I'm starting to lose hope.

My job is in the middle of nowhere for the most part, and I need to move to a bigger city - I feel like I'm dying here. My girlfriend moved here from NYC and she's also miserable, so that doesn't help.

Hmm asking people to take the time to attach videos might be asking too much, maybe if you asked for sites that host video clips would be better. Use archive.org, not only do they have a lot of stuff, pretty much everything is open and available for reproduction without legal hassles Here you go: http://www.archive.org/details/movies

totally get your over-the-top and tongue in cheek - i would say that at the :13 mark you have too much text overlapping, my eye's going everywhere! My suggestion: move the URL down so it doesn't overlap "Every type of Ammo", drop the light/vignette on the date & location. The bear is fucking fantastic.

When I was in 6th grade, I flunked the year and had to be held back. I really didn't have any friends growing up, then when I got held back I was put in a new social circle and I ended up making a lot of friends, and being a lot more social and balanced. I think not doing my homework for a year really paid off.

Hmm straight up producing. More involved in the live action shoot aspect than just the budget, and some but not much post supervision. Basically the client signs on to the idea the creative director has, then I execute it by hiring the people we need, setting up location, shot lists, scheduling, equipment rentals [pickups/deliveries], etc...

interesting that it only plays the audio. the videos are encoded as h.264 in QT and the audio in AAC format. i'm on the fence about flv's, it seems most motion graphics houses have their work in QT format, similar to mine.
