half the time if someone uses a cross platform toolkit for windows, SDL, GLFW and so on, simply providing the binaries/windows installer for use with Wine is a lot less troublesome than trying to cater to n different distros with varying setups. There's a subset of linux users who are happy if it works just as well under Wine.

While CrossOver Mac/Games is good for some things I don't think that will run Autocad, it's definitely not listed in the supported applications. I know upstream Wine has a load of issues yet to be sorted out for most versions of Autocad - not sure about Mathcad.

I'm not sure how well VirtualBox works on mac, but I use it on windows rather than vmware because it's free.

on the first point I think a clear example of his point would be something I encountered in Far Cry 2: on a small dirt path into the jungle there is a small rock sticking out of the ground, not more than three or so inches sticking out of the ground, perhaps the same in diameter, but it is impassable unless you jump over it or walk around it.

if it weren't for all the ads, strange frames, odd navigation and the fragmented nature of it I wouldn't hesitate, I think what it needs is a rework into one single article with main points - I think the points and concepts could be extrapolated upon or distilled and subject to peer review.

Technically, that doesn't sound right, it's likely you could fit everything on far fewer drives by using a smart enough compression algorithm which could reduce common patterns and occurrences to single values as well as share duplicate parts of stories to reduce redundancy. It might even compress by up to 90% at a wild guess.
