I'd love to see a brawl between that beast and this one.

Can anyone recommend me some crazy ass movies?

CHP are currently getting called in from surrounding areas to help deal with "whatever happens".

The buffalo wings at Russian River Pub are worth a visit.
Best thing after a day of diving in Jenner.

Man, I really need to get up that way more often!

Good addition, and thanks for adding it in.

I'm more into the really hoppy/resiny IPAs that the other guys put out (anxiously waiting on the next batch of White Knuckle), so those are the guys that stick out in my mind... though having said that, I actually do have one bottle of Old Rasputin left in my fridge at the moment.

Great... now I'm counting minutes until I can get home to finish it off.

Marin Brewing Co., Moylan's, Bear Republic, Russian River Brewing Company, and Lagunitas are some others that I can think of off-hand. Probably best to spread them out over a few days though... ;)

Looks like you'll be passing through Fort Bragg... maybe you'd enjoy checking out Glass Beach while there?

There are also some cool black sand beaches around Shelter Cove and "The Lost Coast" as well.

If you're into beer, there are some good breweries along your route as well.

Enjoy!

Oh, it's just a leaf...wait.

Impressive Camo!

Nevermind... I found it, and will delete my submission.
I normally don't browse with thumbnails on, and the other submission's title "Oh, it's just a leaf" didn't entice me, nor did it show up when I searched for dupes.
I had to turn thumbnails on, and browse through again.
Either way, thanks for the heads-up.

Impressive Camo!

[citation needed]

Seriously, I was on reddit all day yesterday, and never saw it.

I've also manually (ctrl+f) searched the past 950 submissions using both "caterpillar" and "camo", and nothing pings.

If what you say is true, and I missed it somehow, I will be happy to delete this submission.

Reminds me of Dazzle Camouflage.

4 years prior to Pixar's "Up", a group of students made this animated film.

Here is a related link that gives more background.

In short, none of those directly involved in the project became involved with Pixar in any way.

...writing for Up started in 2004, well before this was released.

"Above then Beyond" was released in 2005, and was likely written and in pre-production much earlier than that as well.

Hmmm... I saw it in '77 as well, but apparently, my memory is deteriorating faster than yours.

I hate to be "that guy", but it has always been "Episode IV - A NEW HOPE".

edit: I'm an old fart with a fading memory, feel free to bury me now.

A River... UNDERWATER!... What?

numlok 1 point2 points 3 months ago[-]

I've been diving for over 20 years, and have never seen kicked-up (/"man made") sediment settle into a perfectly defined zone like that.

The zone delineation on the first image alone makes me think something else is at work here than just stirred up sediment alone. I just don't know what...

Could it be a hyper-saline brine pool (though those are usually found at exponentially deeper locations than this)?
